Organizational Structure

APWDO’s organizational structure is designed for efficient and effective service delivery. It comprises a Board of Directors, three specialized departments (Planning, Monitoring and Reporting, Operation, and Program Implementation). Each department functions with a degree of autonomy while ensuring close coordination and synergy across initiatives.

The Planning, Monitoring and Reporting Department focuses on donor relations, program development, program monitoring and reporting to the project donors and stakeholders. The Operations Department support program implementation in operational functions including finance, Human Resource Management HRM, Information Technology IT, Internal Audit, Administration, Security and Procurement operating as integral units within this department.. The Programs Department is responsible for the program quality implementation including proper resources, risk, stakeholders, cost, team and integration management of the projects.

APWDO has Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) in place for all departments to ensure consistency, accountability, and quality across operations. Under the Programs Department, APWDO operates specialized units including:

  • Education in Emergencies (EiE)
  • Food Security and Agriculture
  • Peacebuilding
  • Emergency Response
  • Health and Nutrition
  • Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene (WASH)

To support the effective delivery of programs, APWDO also maintains essential support functions, including:
