Dr. Muhammad Tariq Sais is the Executive Director of the Afghan Paramount Welfare and Development Organization (APWDO), a nationally recognized NGO committed to humanitarian and development efforts in Afghanistan. He holds a Doctor of Medicine (MD) degree and a Master’s in Public Health from Kabul Medical University (KMU), complemented by advanced certification in Social Norms and Social Change from the University of Calicut, India.

With over 15 years of experience in the non-profit sector, Dr. Sais brings a deep and practical understanding of participatory community development, humanitarian coordination, and multi-sectoral programming. Throughout his career at APWDO, he has held key leadership roles including, Program Director, and Program Manager, spearheading initiatives in education, public health, women’s empowerment, WASH, and peacebuilding across Afghanistan.

Renowned for his strategic vision, integrity, and dedication to social equity, Dr. Sais continues to lead transformative programs that serve some of Afghanistan’s most vulnerable communities.
