
WHO WE ARE
The Afghan Paramount Welfare & Development Organization (APWDO) is a national non-governmental organization established in 2008 by Afghans and formally registered with the Ministry of Economy (MoEc) of the Islamic Republic of Afghanistan in 2010. For over a decade, APWDO has been dedicated to providing humanitarian support to Afghanistan’s most vulnerable communities, based on the principles of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (UDHR) and Afghan sociocultural values. Our work encompasses emergency humanitarian assistance and long-term development initiatives, with a special emphasis on women’s empowerment as a cornerstone of sustainable development.

- Since 2010, reached over 480,000 beneficiaries across 31 provinces
- Implemented over 10+ humanitarian projects and community development initiatives
- Successfully supported 5,600 vulnerable children with education in emergency settings
